Once upon a time, deep in the heart of a lush forest, a deer and a tiger stumbled upon each other while out for a walk. The deer, being a timid creature, immediately froze in fear upon seeing the tiger. But the tiger, being the curious animal that he was, struck up a conversation with the deer.
"Oh deer," said the tiger, "Why do you look so frightened? I'm not going to hurt you."
The deer, still trembling, replied, "But you're a tiger! You're known to be fierce predators."
The tiger laughed heartily. "Yes, I am a tiger, but that doesn't mean I'm out to harm every creature I come across. I'm just out for a stroll, like you."
The deer relaxed a bit, but still seemed skeptical. "But what about the stories of tigers hunting and attacking animals like me?"
The tiger smiled. "Ah, those stories. They're just that - stories. Sure, I may hunt for my food, but I only do what's necessary to survive. And I would never harm another animal without reason."
The deer thought about this for a moment, then asked, "But what about the other tigers in the forest? Surely they're not all as kind and understanding as you are."
The tiger chuckled. "You'd be surprised. Many of my fellow tigers are just like me - we understand that there's no need to harm others just for the sake of it. We're all just trying to survive and live our lives."
Feeling much more at ease, the deer and the tiger continued their conversation, discussing the forest and all of its inhabitants. The deer learned that the tiger was not the fierce predator she had always thought him to be, but rather a kind and understanding creature who just wanted to live in peace. And the tiger learned that the deer was not just a timid creature, but a thoughtful and curious one as well. And they both laughed and laughed, they had a great conversation, and their friendship was born.
